1. IMAGES AND MUSIC:
The music is an EXTRA and is not to be considered an
integral part of the product. Sale of our savers is based on
visual aspects and not on sound, since we cannot
ensure that all computer sound configurations
are fully compatible. We therefore disclaim responsibility
regarding any sound included in our products,
in respect of quality and performance. You
may mute the sound in the "Settings" section
of the saver.
2.
COPYRIGHT ISSUES
ART
SCREEN SAVERS: To the best of my knowledge all of
these
artworks are now in the Public Domain. When purchasing
a screen saver, note that you are not paying
for
copies of the original artwork images; you are
buying
the screen saver engine and final optimised graphics
in which those paintings have been utilised.
OTHER
SAVERS: The photographs and graphics contained herein
are copyright to their owners and are used by Maverick
Ultra-Media/ScreenCraft under licence. THE ORIGINAL
GRAPHICS/PHOTOGRAPHS CONTAINED HEREIN ARE COPYRIGHTED
TO/USED UNDER LICENCE.

INSTALLATION GUIDE
Our savers are 32-bit and will work on Windows 95, 98,
NT and XP. It is best viewed at a screen resolution of
800x600,
though you can adjust the settings later.
Download
the screen saver .exe file to your hard drive,
saving
it to a directory of your choice.
In
Windows Explorer, double-click on the file (or use the
RUN command from your START menu); the screen saver will
self-install, placing an icon on your desktop which
allows you to quick-start whichever screensaver
you
currently have selected.
In
our latest saver versions (3.1 and above) you will also
have a wallpaper facilty so that you may save any screen
as your desktop wallpaper.

GUIDE TO UNINSTALLING
To
uninstall the screen saver, click your START menu,
choose
SETTINGS, choose CONTROL PANEL, and find the
ADD/REMOVE
PROGRAMS section. Find the name of the screen saver,
double-click, and it will be removed automatically.
5.
ENTERING YOUR REGISTRATION/UNLOCK CODES
a]
Right click your mouse on your desktop (your monitor) anywhere
that's clear, i.e. not on an icon.
b]
A drop-down menu will appear. Choose "Properties"
(usually at the bottom of the menu).
c]
The DISPLAY PROPERTIES box will appear.
d]
Choose the "Screen Saver" tab from the row
of tabs at top.
e]
You will see an image of a monitor. Below this is a
box in which you can choose which saver
to display. Choose the saver you want to unlock.
f]
Click the "Settings" button right beside the
choice box.
g]
The Settings tabs for the saver will appear. The first
tab
that appears is the TRY & BUY tab, containing two boxes
to
be filled in at the bottom. Note: Due to excessive
bandwidth costs and low cost of our savers, we
no longer offer Try & Buy.

CUT AND PASTE from your registration email to ensure
that no errors occur. Your registration
email contains a code system that looks like this
(this is a sample only; yours will contain your own CUSTOMER
ID
and UNLOCK CODE):
Your Customer ID = Joe Soap Your Unlock Code = 0987AB34DE0
i]
In the first box, enter the CUSTOMER ID exactly as given in
your registration email.

In the second box, enter the UNLOCK CODE exactly as given
in your
registration email. Note that any 0 in the code is
the
NUMBER ZERO, and not the letter "O".

Click on OK. The Settings box will disappear.
l]
Click on SETTINGS again to re-enter the saver's settings.
m]
Check that the TRY & BUY
tab has disappeared. If it is still
there,
the saver has not accepted your registration codes.
Please
try again, ensuring that you are entering them
exactly
as in your registration email.
n]
If the tab still does not go away, please check that
you have the correct saver in the choice
box; codes will ONLY work with the correct saver.

CUSTOMISE YOUR SAVER!

The Settings tabs for the saver will appear. Move through
the tabs in the settings to make whatever changes you wish.

7.
TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEMS WITH YOUR SAVER
a]
PROBLEMS WHEN TRYING TO INSTALL If
you have problems when you first try to install or to
execute our savers, it is quite probable that something
went wrong in cyberspace during downloading. Usually,
downloading again gets you the file undamaged and the
installation should go smoothly.
b]
SCREEN SAVER STALLING OR CRASHING OR FLASHING:
If
you are running a version lower than v3.1, please contact us for an upgraded version of
your saver. Some computer
sound card configurations do not install an audio
codec that is required by Stardust; versions from v2.0
upwards of our savers automatically install this codec
for you and will solve the problem.

SCREEN SAVER TRY & BUY TAB WILL NOT DISAPPEAR:
When
you have entered a correct Unlock Code, the trial tab
should disappear; check this by going back into the settings
as soon as you have entered your registration code
to see whether the TRY & BUY tab is gone. If it isn't:
i.
try entering the code again. Please ensure that any "0"
in the code is a NUMBER, not the letter "O".
ii.
Check the name of the screen saver; is it the same as
the name that appears on your Registration Email? You
may have bought the wrong saver, in which case the
code we have issued will not work.
iii.
If you have the CARS OF YESTERYEAR screen saver, please
request a DOWNLOAD LINK OF THE LATEST VERSION as
there is a change in the coding system for this particular
saver.
iv.
If NONE of the above solve the problem, please CONTACT
US immediately; it is possible that something is
amiss in the code we sent you.

THE SAVER IS SHOWING "FLATTENED" COLORS ...
If
the image quality of the saver is poor or looks as though
the colors are flattened or distorted, your monitor
is probably not set to read "high colour" (it's
probably set at 256 colours, in which case your
images will appear "posterised"). You can
adjust this in two ways:
i.
You can make an adjustment in the screen saver's settings:
go into your saver's settings (see instructions
above) and choose the "Transitions" tab
(THIS ONLY SHOWS IN REGISTERED SAVERS - if you
still have a TRIAL tab showing, you will NOT have
some of the options available to you!). Now click
on the "ADVANCED" button, check the box
for "Always dither to standard pallet", and click
"OK". The posterisation will be removed, but
the image quality will not be quite as good.
ii.
ONLY DO THIS IS YOU KNOW A BIT ABOUT YOUR COMPUTER'S
CONFIGURATION OR HAVE SOMEONE NEARBY TO HELP IN
CASE YOU DO IT WRONG!
If
your monitor has the capability of changing its
Display Settings, you can adjust the whole way
you see images! (This will slow down your system
very slightly) Go to the "Display Properties"
box and choose the "Settings" tab (NOT
the one in the "Screen Saver" tab, but the one
in the main "Display Properties" box!). Change
your "Colour Pallet" to HIGH COLOUR or TRUE
COLOUR; the options offered to you here will depend
on the monitor that is set up in the "Advanced"
section.

and no guarantees are made to you by anyone concerned
in the making or distribution of the product, nor
can any responsibility be taken by anyone other than
yourself for any damage purported to result from the
installation of this product. The product has been tested
and if it does not work on your particular computer
no guarantees are made to you concerning refunds;
due to the low pricing of the savers and the high
administration costs, it is NOT our policy to refund
monies (other than in exceptional circumstances) and
we are not obliged to do so unless it can be shown that
the software itself is faulty.
9.
REGISTERING/ORDERING SAVERS
NOTE: Savers without a download
link on our site are SHAREWARE screen savers. They
will disable themselves 7 days after installation if
you do not enter the code that will be provided to you
at time of purchase.
ORDERING: Please state
which screen saver you are purchasing and include your
EMAIL ADDRESS!
